Team members have opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to projects from concept through execution.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Drafter role based in Cairo. The Mechanical Drafter will prepare precise 2D and 3D mechanical shop drawings, layouts, and details for projects, ensuring compliance with project standards and applicable codes. Responsibilities include translating design concepts and engineering calculations into clear construction documents, coordinating drawings with architecture, structure, HVAC and Electrical teams, and updating models and drawings based on design reviews or site feedback. The role involves creating and revising mechanical plans, sections, and details for fit-out and technical design packages, as well as maintaining drawing accuracy, version control, and organized documentation. The Mechanical Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers and designers, attend coordination meetings, and support quantity take-off and documentation as needed.QualificationsStrong skills in Mechanical Drawings and Engineering Drawings to translate design and calculations into clear, buildable documents.Proficiency in Technical Drawing practices, including dimensioning, tolerancing, and detailing to industry standards.Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling of mechanical systems and components.Foundational understanding of Design Engineering principles related to mechanical, MEP, or HVAC systems.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).Ability to read and coordinate multidisciplinary drawings (architecture, structure, MEP, HVAC, interior).Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing packages under deadlines.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with engineers, designers, and project coordinators.Familiarity with construction documentation standards and basic knowledge of relevant codes and regulations is an advantage.
