SummaryThe Petty Cash Accountant is responsible for managing and controlling the company’s petty cash funds, ensuring all disbursements are properly documented, approved, and recorded. The role supports daily operational expenses while maintaining strong financial controls and accurate reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the petty cash fund and ensure sufficient cash availability.Review and verify petty cash requests and supporting documents.Disburse petty cash according to company policy and approved limits.Record all petty cash transactions accurately in the accounting system.Prepare periodic petty cash reconciliation and replenishment reports..Ensure all expenses are properly coded to the correct accounts and cost centers.Maintain proper filing of receipts, vouchers, and supporting documents.Monitor compliance with petty cash policies and spending limits.Assist in month-end closing related to petty cash and expense entries.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in accounting, or petty cash handling.Basic knowledge of accounting principles.Experience using accounting or ERP systems is a plus.Good Microsoft Excel skills.
