The Planning Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as developing and monitoring project schedules, coordinating with various departments to ensure project timelines are met, analyzing project data, and creating reports. The individual will also be responsible for production planning, project control, and effective communication within the project team.Prepare a realistic project schedule using appropriate tools such as Primavera Calculate the optimal material requirement, Manpower Requirement for each stage of the projectCoordinate with the project manager and different departments to ensure good execution of the planPlan for the budget required for the project and monitor expenses as the project is executedCreate cash flow forecasts for each projectCoordinate with the client to ensure efficient execution of the projectCollect periodic updates and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly updates of the projectCreate variance reports (Schedule Variance and Cost Variance - usually the Earned Value Method (EMV) is used for this) at various stages of the project to analyse deviationsCreate Project Closing Reports with continuous improvementQualificationsStrong Planning and Production Planning skillsExcellent Analytical Skills for project data analysisProficiency in Project Control to monitor and manage project schedulesEffective Communication skills to coordinate with various departments and stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related fieldPrevious experience in a similar role is preferredFamiliarity with project management software and tools is a plusIndustryUtility System ConstructionEmployment TypeFull-time
