Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Lead risk assessments, hazard identification studies, and environmental impact evaluations.Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify and mitigate risks.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare periodic reports for senior management.Develop and deliver HSE training, awareness programs, and emergency response drills.Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, including coordination with relevant authorities.Support project teams in implementing safe work practices and environmental controls.Oversee contractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with company standards.Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and leadership initiatives.Coordinate external audits and maintain certifications related to HSE management systems.Ensure proper waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental sustainability practices.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC/International Diploma, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.Additional certifications such as Lead Auditor ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are an advantage.Experience Requirements7–15 years of relevant HSE experience in industries such as construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or industrial operations.Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial HSE role.Proven experience in implementing HSE management systems and driving safety improvement initiatives.Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
