Job Purpose:The PR, Communications & Government Affairs Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing the company’s corporate reputation within the pharmaceutical industry. This position is responsible for executing strategic internal and external communications, managing media relations, and supporting corporate affairs and government relations. The role ensures alignment with strict healthcare compliance guidelines while fostering strong, transparent relationships with government entities, regulatory bodies, and public stakeholders.Key Responsibilities1. Government Affairs & Regulatory SupportLiaison Operations: Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with key government bodies, including the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Ministry of Health, and other relevant public sector entities.Policy Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and report on shifting healthcare policies, pharmaceutical regulations, and legislative changes that impact market access or business operations.Strategic Documentation: Prepare briefings, position papers, and corporate presentations for senior leadership ahead of high-level government stakeholder meetings.Compliance Alignment: Ensure all public affairs initiatives strictly adhere to local labor laws, industry regulations, and international pharmaceutical compliance standards.2. Public Relations & Media Management.Media Relations: Act as a key point of contact for industry press, managing incoming media inquiries and drafting corporate statements, press releases, and executive speaking notes.Crisis Communications: Support the management team in developing and deploying crisis communication protocols to safeguard company reputation regarding product safety, regulatory updates, or corporate restructuring.Event Representation: Coordinate corporate participation, press coverage, and logistical PR support for local and international pharmaceutical exhibitions, trade fairs, and scientific conferences.Lead proactive media relations activities, including press outreach, media engagement, and PR campaignsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, PR agencies, governmental authorities, and other external stakeholders.Support the communication and promotion of key branded and unbranded product launches.Job Requirements & Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.An MBA or a postgraduate diploma in Corporate Governance or Public Policy is a plus. Experience:Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Government Relations.Strong preference for candidates with direct experience within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector, demonstrating a solid understanding of medical regulations and compliance.
