Pre-Sales Solutions EngineerIDWise | Fully Remote📍 Fully remote within MENA/GCC ±2 hours timezone overlap✈️ Potential customer travel required🏢 Reports to: COO💼 Type: Full-timeAbout IDWiseIDWise is the AI-powered identity verification platform trusted by regulated financial institutions across MENA, GCC, SEA, Africa and select international markets.We work with banks, fintechs, payment institutions, exchanges, brokers, and other regulated organisations operating in environments where compliance, fraud prevention, and customer experience all need to work together seamlessly.Our platform supports identity verification, biometrics, liveness, AML screening, orchestration, and digital onboarding at production scale across multiple markets.About the RoleWe’re hiring a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to own the technical pre-sales motion end-to-end.You’ll act as the single technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle — leading discovery, designing solutions, running demos and PoCs, managing RFP responses, and ensuring a clean handoff into Implementation once deals are signed.You’ll work closely with:Account ExecutivesProductEngineeringCustomer SupportAccount ManagementThis is a senior individual contributor role with the visibility, autonomy, and scope of a function lead. As the company grows, this role is expected to evolve into leadership of the pre-sales engineering function.You’ll work directly with the COO and CPTO on strategic opportunities and enterprise engagements.What You’ll OwnTechnical Discovery & Solution DesignLead discovery sessions with customer compliance, fraud, risk, IT, product, and engineering teamsUnderstand regulatory requirements, KPIs, operational workflows, and integration constraintsTranslate customer business problems into IDWise solution patterns.Design end-to-end onboarding and verification journeysDefine integration approaches across APIs, SDKs, hosting, data residency, and reportingProduce architecture diagrams, sequence flows, and technical integration specificationsDemos, Workshops & Proofs of ConceptDeliver tailored demos to technical and executive stakeholdersRun architecture workshops and technical deep-divesScope and execute PoCs against agreed success criteriaProtect PoC boundaries to ensure pilots convert into commercial outcomes rather than drifting into unpaid consultingRFPs, RFIs & Enterprise ResponsesOwn technical responses for: RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, vendor due diligence, and regulator-facing submissions.Maintain reusable response libraries covering: security, data protection, architecture, SLAs, regulatory alignment, and performance.Coordinate inputs from engineering, product, security, operations, and legal.Ensure responses remain technically accurate and commercially realisticCustomer Advocacy & HandoverServe as the primary technical point of contact during the sales cycle.Lead formal handoff into: Implementation, Customer Success, and Account Management.Ensure signed deals include: clear solution designs, agreed scope, configuration assumptions, and known risks.Support early implementation phases when necessary to protect commitments and avoid scope driftStandardisation & Scope DisciplineBuild reusable: Reference architectures, demo environments, integration templates, technical answer libraries.Escalate any non-standard customer requests before they become commercial commitmentsMaintain clarity internally on what IDWise supports effectively out-of-the-boxPush back constructively on bespoke or out-of-scope requests while proposing practical alternativesMarket Intelligence & Sales EnablementTrack competitor positioning, pricing trends, and product movementsBuild technical enablement material for sales teams and partners: battlecards, FAQs, objection handling, integration walkthroughsTrain commercial teams on technical qualification and positioningWhat We’re Looking ForRequired5+ years in B2B SaaS pre-sales, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical consultingAt least 2–3 years operating at senior levelExperience selling into regulated financial institutions.Hands-on experience with one or more of: identity verification, KYC/KYB, AML screening, biometrics, fraud prevention, eKYC platforms, or digital onboarding.Strong understanding of: REST APIs, SDK integrations, Webhooks, OAuth/JWT, enterprise integration patterns and working knowledge of cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Understanding of: Data residency, regional deployment models, basic cloud security posture, and experience owning complex RFPs and enterprise tenders end-to-endStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiencesStrong live customer presence and workshop facilitation abilityNice to HaveArabic language proficiency (business level)Experience at a RegTech, identity verification, AML, or onboarding vendorTechnical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information SystemsExperience working alongside global system integratorsFamiliarity with AI/ML evaluation concepts:False Accept Rate (FAR)False Reject Rate (FRR)Model driftDataset biasExplainabilityExperience building scalable reusable pre-sales assets and frameworksWhy IDWiseProduction deployments with regulated banks, brokers, and fintechs across MENA, GCC, Europe, and AsiaMillions of identity verifications processed annuallyDeep technical and commercial leadership team with expertise across identity, banking, and AIFlat operating model with direct exposure to the COO, CPTO, and CEOReal ownership and autonomy in shaping the pre-sales functionRemote-first culture with flexibility and strong growth opportunitiesHow to ApplySend:Your CVA short note describing a regulated financial institution deal you technically owned end-to-endTell us:What the customer was solvingWhat the solution design looked likeHow the engagement landed commercially
