The Pre-Sales Engineer is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to account penetration strategies, pre-sales implementations, solution design and training. S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of the company products/servicesWork with the Sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies and achieve set targetsCreate specific accounts for product(s), service(s) and sales plans pertaining to the company products/servicesCollaborate with the Sales team in qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on the technical aspect of the sales lifecycle including technical qualification, presentation of solution proposals and high-level designs and demonstrationsRun, manage and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a pre-sales and implementation perspectiveBuild sound relationships with partners and customers in support of sales objectives;Lead technical sales callsManage adoption, integration and value generation of offered products/services within the customer/partner business and related IT infrastructureComplete required pre-sales documentations in a quick and accurate mannerDevelop content, train and support partners and customersRespond to after-hours support queries during assigned rotations and escalate issues if neededPut available systems into practice (salesforce.com CRM for leads, opportunity and deal registration management) for output efficiency and standardization.Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or any other related field.Proven experience in pre‑sales Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting supporting infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms in enterprise environments.Hands‑on experience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience technologies across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud architectures.Working knowledge of data security concepts, including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access controls.Familiarity with competitive technologies and an interest in developing competitive positioning skills.Experience supporting proofs of concept, evaluations, and technical decision processes.Ability to translate technical architecture into clear customer value and business outcomes.Experience partnering with Account Executives to support complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision makingUnderstanding of enterprise buying processes and deal dynamics.Strong communication and presentation skills, able to clearly convey technical concepts to business and technical audiences.Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage complex customer situations professionally and confidently.Industry certifications in cloud, data, or adjacent technologies are a plus.Must have English language proficiency (able to interact fluently when speaking, reading, and writing in a professional setting).Willingness to travel covering Egypt and Libya.
