Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate the master production plan into detailed daily and shift-level execution schedules.Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and materials to meet output and delivery targets.Monitor production progress and take proactive actions to avoid delays or bottlenecks.Supervise production engineers, technicians, and operators across shifts.Set clear KPIs (productivity, scrap, downtime, efficiency) and ensure alignment with departmental objectives.Conduct shift handovers and performance reviews to maintain continuity and accountability.Analyze production data (OEE, downtime, scrap rates) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices on the shop floor.Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, specifications, and testing procedures relevant to cable manufacturing.Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with ISO and customer requirements.Monitor in-process quality checks and reduce rework and defects.Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are executed effectively.Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve reliability and efficiency.Ensure proper use and periodic calibration of measuring and testing equipment.Lead, coach, and develop team members through training programs and hands-on coaching.Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and implement development plans.Build a strong culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.Define the required manpower, machines, tools, and consumables to achieve production targets.Optimize workforce allocation across shifts for maximum efficiency.Prepare and review daily production reports, downtime analysis, and employee performance reports.Maintain accurate records for production, quality, and maintenance activities.Investigate and resolve operational issues related to machines, materials, and processes.Act as the first escalation point for major production challenges.Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure smooth operations.Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support business objectives.Education & QualificationBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred for cable manufacturing)Minimum 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing, at least 3–5 years in a leadership roleExperience in cable manufacturing or heavy industrial production is highly preferredProduction KPIs (OEE, yield, efficiency, downtime)Preventive & predictive maintenanceProficiency in ERP systems Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysisKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S is a strong advantage.
