Position Description: The faculty of Media Engineering and Technology of the German University in Cairo invites applications for a number of full-time faculty positions in Computer Science and Engineering at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor and Lecturer beginning September 2026. Successful candidates are expected to lead research, attract research funds, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, teach and develop undergraduate and graduate classes, and contribute to administrative tasks.Qualifications: Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or other related disciplines with demonstrable experience in computing. The ideal candidate will be an energetic researcher who is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a multi-cultural environment. While the faculty of Media Engineering and Technology is seeking candidates with research interests in all areas of computer science and engineering, candidates with interest and expertise in distributed systems, embedded systems, optimization and constraint programming, and robotics are particularly interesting.Application Instructions: Interested applicants are invited to submit their curriculum vitae including employment history, a statement outlining research and teaching interests, list of publications and projects undertaken and names of at least three referees.Applications will be reviewed until position is filled.
