Their focus is on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all software development and testing processes.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced QA Specialist with a strong background in both manual and automated testing to join a distributed team supporting mission-critical software. This role is ideal for someone who can execute thorough testing, contribute to automation initiatives, and take ownership of quality across complex systems and workflows. You will be a key contributor in ensuring the reliability and usability of the platform while collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & TestingExecute functional, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple system modulesValidate system behavior against requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteriaIdentify, document, and track defects clearly and accuratelyReproduce issues reported by customers or internal teams and verify fixesEnsure system updates do not negatively impact existing functionalityTest AutomationDesign, develop, and maintain automated test cases for regression and critical workflowsExecute automated test suites, analyze results, and identify failures, trends, and risk areasCollaborate with engineering and product teams to identify opportunities for automationEnsure automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with evolving system behaviorContribute to improving automation coverage and test execution efficiencyTest Planning & DocumentationDevelop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts (manual and automated)Document testing results in a clear, organized, and professional mannerParticipate in test strategy discussions for new features, enhancements, and integrationsEnsure comprehensive test coverage across UI, workflows, and integrationsCross-Functional CollaborationCommunicate defects, edge cases, and quality risks effectively with developersParticipate in sprint planning, reviews, and release readiness assessmentsSupport triage of customer-reported issues with support and account teamsPerform post-release validation and ongoing monitoring of system behaviorQualifications & SkillsRequired QualificationsProven experience as a QA Specialist, QA Analyst, or Software TesterHands-on experience with test automation for web-based applicationsStrong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practicesExcellent attention to detail and analytical thinkingStrong written communication skills for defect reporting and documentationAbility to work independently and collaboratively in distributed teamsFluency in EnglishPrior experience with QA in mission-critical or regulated environments preferredPreferred / Nice-to-Have QualificationsExperience with Selenium, Java-based frameworks, JUnit, Cucumber, or BDD conceptsExperience testing SaaS platforms, API validation, or complex workflowsFamiliarity with Jira, TestRail, or other test management toolsQA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) a plus but not requiredExperience in healthcare, public health, or government technology environmentsWhy This Role MattersThe QA Specialist ensures the software platform is reliable, accurate, and scalable, enabling the delivery of essential public health and community services.
