In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality management across all operational areas. You will work closely with kitchen and stewarding departments to maintain compliance with international food safety standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Your analytical mindset, combined with your commitment to excellence, will be instrumental in protecting our guests' health and maintaining our organization's reputation.Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive Food Safety Management Systems in accordance with international standards and local Egyptian regulationsConduct routine inspections and audits of all food preparation areas, storage facilities, receiving areas, transportation, and buffet stations to ensure compliance with hygiene protocolsLead periodic control, monitoring, and validation processes according to established procedures and quality plansCollect and analyze samples from food, drinking water, surfaces, personnel hands, and raw materials for microbiological and laboratory testing; interpret results and provide recommendationsPerform routine hand hygiene and surface contamination checks using practical swab testing methodsOrganize and deliver targeted training programs to kitchen and stewarding staff on food safety protocols, personal hygiene standards, and proper sanitation proceduresMaintain detailed documentation and quality records related to the Food Safety System; ensure all records are organized and readily available for auditsInvestigate and report on nonconforming products and food safety incidents; lead corrective actions and monitor their effectivenessManage emergency situations, product recalls, and crisis protocols according to established procedures; document and report all outcomesCoordinate with external auditors during food safety audits conducted by tour operators or regulatory bodies; ensure facility compliance and readinessAddress guest complaints related to food safety with professionalism and empathy; communicate findings transparently to managementCollaborate with facility medical staff to monitor and investigate any guest illnesses potentially related to food serviceEnsure alignment between Tour Operations Federation standards and the organization's Food Safety Management SystemSupport the Quality Manager in preparing reports, statistical data, and performance metrics related to food safety initiativesStay current with food safety trends, occupational publications, and regulatory changes; pursue continuous professional development through seminars and trainingPromote environmental sustainability by implementing waste reduction, proper chemical handling, energy conservation, and pollution prevention measuresServe as a liaison between department managers and the Quality Manager to facilitate effective communication and system improvementsPerform additional duties as assigned by management to support organizational goalsQualifications**Education & Certifications:**Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related fieldFormal training or certification in Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent)Knowledge of food safety legislation and hygiene regulations applicable in Egypt and internationallyExperienceMinimum 2 years of professional experience in quality assurance, food safety, or hygiene managementProven experience working within Food Safety Management Systems in a hospitality, food service, or similar environmentExperience conducting microbiological testing and interpreting laboratory resultsDemonstrated experience with internal and external audit processesSkills & CompetenciesExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex or high-pressure situationsStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiencesExcellent organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detailLeadership capabilities and ability to mentor and train staff effectivelyProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to establish open communication channels and collaborate effectively across departmentsStrong interpersonal skills and empathetic approach to staff engagementDecisive decision-making abilities combined with transparency in reportingAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficientlyLanguageFluent English proficiency (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and international auditorsAdditional QualificationsKnowledge of local Egyptian food safety regulations and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with hospitality industry standards and guest-focused service principlesAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as requiredPhysical capability to conduct inspections and sampling across various facility areasAdditional InformationYour Team And Working EnvironmentIn 1-2 sentences, introduce the team, property or office environment in a way that reflects the cultureNote: Customization may be included for any specific local or legislative requirements, such as work permitsOur Commitment To Diversity & InclusionWe are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
