A Sales Development Representative (SDR) in localization researches and engages potential clients, often targeting Marketing, Product, or Localization managers to generate qualified leads for translation, language technology, or internationalization services. They conduct outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) to highlight ROI on global communication and book meetings for Account Executives.Key Responsibilities in the Language Industry:1- Outbound Prospecting: Identify and connect with companies expanding internationally or needing to localize websites, apps, or technical documentation.2- Lead Qualification: Qualify potential clients using frameworks like BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to determine fit for localization solutions.3- Relationship Management: Build rapport with prospects, educating them on the benefits of professional translation services, MT (Machine Translation), and TMS (Translation Management Systems).4- Sales Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track activity, manage leads, and ensure accurate reporting.5- Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Sales teams to align outreach messaging with the current localization market trends and company goals.6- Goal Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed metrics for daily calls, emails, and booked meetings.Key Requirements & QualificationsExperience: 0~6 Months of sales, customer-facing, or B2B tech experience; experience in offshore, call center, or SaaS is preferred.Skills: Exceptional communication and prospecting skills, objection handling, and proficiency in CRM software.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Language Skills: Often requires proficiency in English and often a second language relevant to the target market.Traits: Results-oriented, resilient, and highly organized.
