Scrum Master

Job Summary:The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating and supporting Agile/Scrum processes within one or more development teams. This role ensures that the team adheres to Agile principles, removes impediments, and fosters a collaborative environment to maximize efficiency and product quality. The Scrum Master provides guidance and coaches the team toward self-organization and continuous improvement.Responsibilities: Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement). Ensure the team follows Agile best practices and Scrum framework principles.Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder team progress.Shield the team from external distractions and unnecessary interruptions.Mentor and coach team members on Agile values, self-organization, and cross-functionality.Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Work closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.Facilitate communication between the development team and stakeholders.Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, cycle time, etc.) to measure team performance. Use data to drive process improvements.Promote Agile adoption across the organization.Experiment with new techniques to enhance team productivity and product quality.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.• Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is preferred.• Experience:3+ years as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).• Soft Skills:Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Strong servant-leadership mindset.Ability to influence without authority.Technical Skills (Preferred):Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile project management tools.Basic knowledge of software development processes (CI/CD, DevOps).Nice to Have:• Background in software development, QA, or product management.
