Position The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of The Company’s accounting records, ensuring timely month-end and year-end close, preparing monthly financial statements, tax compliance, and supervising day-to-day accounting operations. The role will be a key contributor to the implementation and ongoing optimization of Odoo ERP and the strengthening of financial controls.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting- Maintain the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.- Prepare monthly financial statements.- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), tax regulations, and company policies.- Prepare month-end and year-end closing entries.- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.Accounts Payable & Receivable- Oversee supplier and customer accounting.- Review payment runs and collections reports.- Ensure timely settlement of supplier obligations.- Monitor customer balances and aging reports.Fixed Assets & Capital Projects- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.- Monitor depreciation calculations.- Track Projects Under Construction (PUC/CIP).- Coordinate physical verification of fixed assets.Inventory & Cost Control- Review inventory transactions and reconciliations.- Coordinate periodic physical inventory counts.- Investigate inventory variances and adjustments.Audit & Internal Controls- Lead annual external audit process.- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.- Implement and maintain financial controls.- Ensure compliance with approval authorities and company policies.ERP & Process Improvement- Support Odoo implementation and optimization.- Develop accounting procedures and SOPs.- Improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.Tax & Compliance- Prepare and review VAT, withholding tax and other statutory filings.- Coordinate with external tax advisors.- Support tax inspections and audits.Team Management- Supervise finance team members.- Review work quality and provide coaching.- Support training and development initiatives.Education- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce.- CMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.Experience- 7–10 years of accounting experience.- Minimum 3 years in a senior accounting position.- Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors preferred.- ERP experience (Odoo preferred).Skills- Strong financial accounting knowledge.- Month-end close expertise.- Tax and audit experience.- Advanced Excel skills.- knowledge of ERP systems.- Strong leadership and communication skills.How to applyInterested candidates are invited to submit an updated CV as well as a cover letter (in Arabic or English) outlining relevant experience and explaining why they are interested in the position.Applications sent to:Jobs@agri-venture.comPlease include the job title in the email subject lineOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
