About The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Application Design Engineer with strong expertise in Protection & Control systems and Schneider Electric protection relays to join our engineering team.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and commissioning protection and automation solutions for MV, HV, and EHV substations across utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role requires hands-on experience with IEC 61850, Substation Automation Systems (SAS), protection coordination, and Schneider Electric relay technologies including MiCOM, Sepam, Vamp, and PowerLogic.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign protection, control, metering, and SAS panels for MV, HV, and EHV substationsPrepare engineering deliverables including:Single Line Diagrams (SLD)Protection & Control SchematicsWiring DiagramsConnection DiagramsTerminal PlansBill of Materials (BOM)Cable SchedulesConfigure, test, and commission Schneider Electric protection relaysDevelop relay logic, protection settings, event records, and disturbance analysisPrepare and maintain IEC 61850 engineering files including CID and SCL filesPerform protection studies including:Protection CoordinationCT/VT SizingFault AnalysisRelay Settings CalculationsDevelop electrical drawings using EPLANIntegrate protection and automation systems using IEC 61850, Modbus TCP/IP, and Modbus RTUSupport FAT, SAT, commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and system modificationsCoordinate with project, manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure successful project deliveryParticipate in technical discussions with customers, consultants, utilities, and Schneider Electric factoriesRequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in Protection & Control, Secondary Design, or Substation Automation projectsExperience in MV, HV, and EHV substationsTechnical SkillsHands-on experience with Schneider Electric protection relays:MiCOMSepamVampPowerLogicStrong knowledge of protection schemes including:Feeder ProtectionTransformer Differential ProtectionBusbar ProtectionDistance ProtectionBus Coupler ProtectionOvercurrent & Earth Fault ProtectionPractical experience with IEC 61850 engineering and IED configurationExperience with Substation Automation Systems (SAS)Strong knowledge of CT/VT calculations and protection coordination studiesExperience using EPLANKnowledge of Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU communication protocolsGood command of EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Power Automation SystemExperience in utility, transmission, renewable energy, or EPC projectsExperience using OMICRON relay testing equipmentKnowledge of IEC 60255, IEC 61850, and utility protection standardsMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering is an advantageBenefits Annual bonus Health insurance and wellness programs Professional development and training opportunities
