Job SummaryLead business development for the Agriculture sector by identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships (producers, exporters, agribusinesses, government/associations), and growing adoption of GS1 standards and services in Agri (traceability, identification, data sharing, training, and sector programs).Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and execute the Agri sector growth plan (pipeline, accounts, partners, initiatives).Develop new business opportunities: sector programs, traceability projects, data services, training, and consulting.Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders: large farms, packhouses, exporters, retailers, regulators, associations, donors, and solution providers.Conduct solution workshops and value presentations focused on Agri pain points (traceability, export compliance, recalls, labeling, interoperability).Lead complex deal cycles: discovery, solution shaping, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and closure.Coordinate with internal teams to define packages/offers for Agri use cases.Track sector trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements affecting Agri traceability/identification.Support delivery teams during onboarding and pilot kickoffs to ensure successful adoption.Represent GS1 Egypt in Agri events, committees, and industry forums.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.5 – 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within Agriculture, FMCG, Food, or Supply Chain–related industries.Strong understanding of supply chains, traceability, standards, and market regulations relevant to agriculture or retail.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven business decisions.Experience working with food producers, exporters, distributors, cooperatives, or government entities is a plus.Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and digital sales tools.Car owner is a must (field visits and client meetings required).
