We are seeking a conscientious and driven Senior Chief Accountant to join our thriving Savills Middle East Egypt office. The role will be based in Arkan Plaza, Sheikh Zayed, and requires flexibility and a proactive attitude.The successful candidate will take full responsibility for asset reporting and will carry out all job-related functions for assigned properties efficiently and within set deadlines. Strong analytical skills and effective communication are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Month‑End CloseManage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policiesPost (sometimes prepare) journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsPerform month‑end and year‑end close activities in accordance with reporting deadlinesPrepare and reconcile balance sheet schedules and general ledger accountsSupport the accounting team with their daily queriesAccounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableSupport the accounts Payable and accounts receivable teams ensuring timely and accurate booking of supplier and clients invoices and paymentsReview bad debt provisioning calculation and aging analysisInvestigate and resolve AP and AR discrepanciesPayroll & Bank ReconciliationsReview payroll including all accounting entries and related reconciliationsReview monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling itemsReporting & CompliancePrepare monthly financial reports for internal management and regional consolidationSupport statutory reporting requirements and local compliance obligationsEnsure adherence to internal control procedures and Group policiesPrepare the group monthly reporting package and address all related queriesAudit & ControlsAct as a key point of contact for internal and external auditorsPrepare audit schedules and co-lead the audit processSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of financial controlsSupport testing and data migration for 365 MSD (F&O) implementationsBudgeting SupportSupport with budgeting and forecastingAssist with investigating variances actuals vs. budget on monthly basisSkills, Knowledge And ExperienceEducation & Professional QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineQualified CPA, CMA, or CA is requiredExperienceMinimum 6 years’ experience in accounting roles, preferably within a structured corporate environmentExperience in professional services, real estate, or multi‑entity organisations is an added advantageAudit background (Big 4 or reputable audit firm) is a strong advantageCPA/CMA/CA is an added advantageSkills & Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRSHands‑on experience with general ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, cash and month‑end closeProficiency in Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g. D365, Sun Systems, Hyperion)Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlinesFluent in English (written and spoken)Key AttributesStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityWell‑organized with effective time management skillsAble to work independently and as part of a wider regional teamProfessional, methodical, and controls‑focusedComfortable working in a structured finance environment with clear governance requirementsOver 42,000 people work for us in more than 700 offices all over the world.
