Infotainment Requirements EngineerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a talented and experienced Infotainment Requirements Engineer to join our dynamic automotive software team.In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment systems. You will collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI teams, software engineers, architects, and external partners to ensure that all features are clearly documented, traceable, and aligned with the overall product vision.This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality automotive software solutions.Project OverviewThis project focuses on delivering next-generation in-vehicle digital experiences through a combination of Android/AOSP-based In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) applications and QNX/Linux-based Instrument Cluster software.As part of the requirements engineering team, you will play a key role in defining, documenting, and maintaining clear, consistent, and traceable requirements across a wide range of vehicle functions and domains.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for infotainment features including HMI, media, connectivity, system services, and vehicle integrations.Transform high-level product inputs into structured, clear, and testable software requirements.Maintain end-to-end traceability across stakeholder, system, software, and test requirements.Collaborate with UX/UI teams, system architects, and software developers to clarify feature behavior, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.Ensure requirements comply with ASPICE SWE.1 and SWE.2 processes and support downstream SWE.3–SWE.6 activities.Participate in feature grooming sessions, technical discussions, and change management activities.Support integration and validation teams by clarifying expected system behavior and resolving requirement gaps.Manage updates, change requests, baselines, and versioning within Codebeamer or similar requirement management tools.Ensure alignment with system architecture, platform constraints, and design principles across Android-based and other IVI platforms.Identify requirement risks, dependencies, and cross-domain impacts throughout the development lifecycle.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of experience in requirements engineering within automotive or infotainment software projects.Strong understanding of IVI domains, including:HMIMediaConnectivityNavigationVehicle settingsSystem servicesStrong understanding of IVI system architecture with focus on:Connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, projection technologies)Networking (TCP/IP, SOME/IP, IPC, vehicle interfaces)Experience with requirements management tools such as Codebeamer, Jama, Polarion, or similar.Familiarity with ASPICE processes, particularly SWE.1 and SWE.2.Proven ability to write clear, concise, and testable requirements.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Good understanding of the software development lifecycle for embedded and infotainment systems.Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher level of English.Nice to HaveExperience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or AOSP-based IVI platforms.Knowledge of QNX or embedded Linux systems.Familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet vehicle communication protocols.Experience working in Agile automotive software environments.Understanding of automotive cybersecurity and safety considerations.Why Join Us?Work on cutting-edge automotive infotainment and digital cockpit technologies.Collaborate with highly skilled international teams.Be part of innovative projects shaping the future of connected vehicles.Opportunity to work with modern Android Automotive and embedded platforms.Professional growth within a fast-paced automotive software environment.
