Job DescriptionWork Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.The Role:Logistics Senior Group Manager will lead the end-to-end logistics strategy and operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective material flow across the supply chain.This role will be responsible for Egypt & Africa logistics activities, including transportation, inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing coordination, logistics optimization, and developing the strategic plan with the key shipping lines while supporting production continuity, inventory performance, SUP sales plan and overall operational excellence.What You'll Do:Lead Egypt & Africa logistics strategy and day-to-day operations to ensure uninterrupted material flow and operational stabilityOversee inbound, outbound, warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities across Egypt & Africa in alignment with business needsDrive logistics planning and execution to support production requirements, customer commitments, and inventory targetsIdentify and implement logistics optimization initiatives to improve service, reduce cost, and increase efficiencyDevelop and drive the strategic plan with the key shipping lines to support business continuity, cost competitiveness, and service performanceMonitor logistics performance, capacity, and risk, and ensure timely corrective actions when neededPartner closely with purchasing, material planning, manufacturing, finance, customs and external logistics providers to ensure strong cross-functional executionManage logistics suppliers and service providers, including performance reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement actionsLead crisis management and contingency planning for transportation, customs, port, supplier, or operational disruptionsEnsure compliance with safety, customs, trade, and company requirements across logistics activitiesBuild team capability and strengthen the organization through leadership, coaching, and people development.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)Educational and Experience Background:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).10+ Years of experience in the field.Strong experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain operations, or material flow management.Strong understanding of supply chain planning, sourcing, operational execution, and cost managementProven ability to shape and execute forward-looking sourcing strategies that support business growth, operational resilience, and competitive advantage.Experience managing third-party logistics providers, carriers, and external partnersExperience in automotive, manufacturing, or a similarly complex industrial environment is preferredSkills:Demonstrated leadership experience with strong team management and cross-functional collaboration skills (Minimum 5 years of experience in a people leader position is preferable).Ability to solve complex operational issues and make sound decisions under pressureStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable operational resultsProven ability to provide effective management oversight and apply internal control tools and monitoring processes to strengthen compliance, accountability, and risk mitigationAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join Us We believe we all must make a choice every day – individually and collectively – to drive meaningful change through our words, our deeds and our culture.
