We are currently hiring for an exceptional and creative Senior Design manager for our various mixed-use projects in Egypt. The Senior manager - Design is responsible for technical execution of designs across real estate portfolio.The Ideal candidate will be someone:with minimum 12 Years of experience in design project management role, preferably within a reputed regional developer/ consultancy/ contractor. with bachelor's degree in architecture or related field of design and with PMP certification, preferably. with excellent communication skills in English. Job Responsibilities:Strategic Design Support & Portfolio OptimizationMarket-Driven Design: Study the Real Estate portfolio and provide data-driven advice on the mix of design options, innovative concepts, and pricing strategies to maximize commercial exploitation.Feasibility Translation: Convert strategic development goals into viable design briefs that balance innovation with cost-efficiency.Trend Analysis: Identify "international best practices" to suggest improvements in design concepts that enhance property value and marketability.Consultant & Procurement ManagementConsultant Selection: Lead the shortlisting and evaluation of preferred design consultants, ensuring technical capability matches project requirements prior to appointment.Proposal Review: Conduct rigorous reviews of consultant proposals, providing critical feedback and improvements to ensure the project vision is achieved.Performance Tracking: Monitor consultant deliverables to ensure quality, legislative compliance, and adherence to the project timeline.Team Leadership & Operational ExcellenceTeam Optimization: Manage and optimize design team effectiveness by setting individual objectives, managing performance, and providing formal appraisals and feedback.Budget Stewardship: Prepare and recommend the Design section budget; monitor financial performance against the baseline to identify and rectify unsatisfactory performance.Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to departmental procedures and controls to ensure quality, cost-effective service delivery.MIS Reporting: Prepare accurate departmental Management Information System (MIS) statements and status reports in accordance with company policies.Continuous Improvement & ComplianceProcess Innovation: Motivate staff to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes, cost reduction, and productivity.Quality Assurance: Ensure all design activities fulfill procedural and legislative requirements while maintaining Qatari Diar’s "luxury/Grade-A" standards.
