The Mechanical Engineer will design, review, and optimize mechanical systems for residential and commercial projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities include developing mechanical layouts and specifications, performing calculations, and producing and reviewing CAD models and technical drawings. The role involves coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and contractors, participating in site visits and inspections, and resolving mechanical issues during construction and commissioning. The Mechanical Engineer will also support R&D initiatives to incorporate innovative technologies and sustainable solutions into building designs, assist in project planning and scheduling, and prepare technical reports and documentation.Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to building and infrastructure projects.Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing detailed mechanical models and drawings.Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and tracking progress against milestones.Background in Research and Development (R&D) to evaluate new materials, systems, and technologies for improved performance and sustainability.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is an advantage.Knowledge of relevant mechanical and building codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and quality.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and site personnel.Experience in the real estate, construction, or property development sector in Egypt or the region is a plus.
