Senior Specification Engineer

The Senior Specification Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical guidance and support for all specification-related tasks within our organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in construction specifications and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure that project specifications meet customer requirements and are in compliance with industry standards, thus contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and manage detailed project specifications in line with client requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate design intent into accurate technical specifications.Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of existing specification documents to ensure compliance with changing regulations and standards.Act as a technical resource for project teams, providing expertise on materials, methods, and applicability of specifications.Perform regular site visits to ensure specifications are being adhered to during the construction process.Lead training sessions and workshops for junior staff and project teams on best practices in specification writing and compliance.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in specification writing within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and national standards (ASTM, ISO, etc.).Proficiency in specification software such as MasterFormat and the ability to create clear, concise documents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and uphold quality standards.
