Job Title: Senior System AdministratorDepartment: IT Location: El Sheikh Zayed, Giza Reporting To: Infrastructure Head Direct Reports: N/AJob PurposeThe Senior System Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and reliability of systems across on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong focus on virtualization, Windows & Linux servers, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Systems Management Design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers. Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to ensure efficiency and stability. Ensure systems are updated with the latest patches, upgrades, and security updates.Active Directory & Identity Management Manage Active Directory services, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions. Maintain secure access controls and directory services best practices.Cloud & Microsoft Services Manage and administer Microsoft Azure services, including provisioning and configuration of cloud resources. Administer and support Microsoft Office 365 services to ensure optimal performance and user accessibility.Security, Backup & Recovery Implement and maintain security controls, antivirus solutions, and access management policies. Develop, manage, and test backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.Database Administration Manage and support MS SQL databases, including configuration, performance tuning, and backup strategies.Documentation & Collaboration Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams to support applications and infrastructure services. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues on time. Provide advanced technical support to ensure minimal downtime.RequirementsExperience & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in system administration, with strong exposure to virtualization, Windows, Linux, Azure, and Office 365. Certifications (Preferred): MCSE RHCE Azure Administrator Associate VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
