This role acts as the central coordination point between technical (developers, testing and support) teams, product owners, and executive leadership, ensuring Agile delivery excellence, strict adherence to CMMI process standards, and optimal utilization of project management platforms (Jira, Planning tools and templates). By driving financial discipline, predictable delivery, and continuous process improvement, the role ensures high-quality software outcomes that directly support business growth, client satisfaction, and sustainable profitability. Key Responsibilities 1. Software Delivery & Agile Execution Lead end-to-end software development lifecycles (SDLC) using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Hybrid methodologies. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain team velocity and delivery predictability. Act as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, scope creep, technical blockers, and cross-team dependencies. 2. Project Planning & Tool Management Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and resource schedules using planning tools (MS Project 365) and Jira. Configure, optimize, and govern Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure real-time visibility into progress, bottlenecks, and capacity. Ensure accurate time tracking, effort estimation, and sprint forecasting across development and QA workstreams. 3. Financial Ownership & Business Case Management Own and manage project P&L, ensuring strict alignment with approved business cases, budget constraints, and profitability targets defined by the organization.Monitor delivery costs, resource burn rates, effort variance, and revenue recognition; implement corrective actions to protect and improve gross margins. Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product leadership to evaluate change requests, manage commercial scope, and optimize project ROI. 4. Process Compliance & CMMI Standards Integrate CMMI process areas (Project Planning, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance) into daily software delivery practices. Ensure documentation, traceability, and audit readiness while preserving Agile flexibility and delivery speed. Lead process improvement initiatives, develop standardized playbooks, and reduce technical debt through structured governance. 5. Stakeholder Communication & Executive Reporting Deliver clear, accurate, and timely reporting on project health, milestones, financial performance, and risk status to clients and internal leadership. Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making and portfolio planning. Manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate steering committee updates, and maintain transparent communication channels across all levels. 6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination Mentor and guide cross-functional software teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Coordinate with Software Architecture, Cyber Security, DevOps, and Quality Assurance to ensure seamless integration, testing, deployment, and release management on due dates.Institutionalize knowledge sharing, maintain handover documentation, and reduce single-point dependencies to ensure business continuity. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering , or Engineering.Relevant certifications preferred: PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or ITIL. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in software development and project management, with at least 5 years leading complex software delivery initiatives. Proven hands-on experience with software development practices, SDLC methodologies, and technical architecture discussions. Advanced proficiency in Jira (workflows, dashboards, advanced roadmaps) and MS Project 365 for planning, tracking, and reporting (Power BI or Tableaux).Demonstrated experience managing project business cases, P&L accountability, budget forecasting, and margin optimization. Working knowledge of CMMI frameworks and experience preparing teams for process appraisals or audits. Fluent in English (written and verbal) with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
