Supply Chain Specialist – Imports & Foreign ProcurementJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to manage import operations, foreign procurement activities, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing international suppliers, handling import documentation, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations from purchase order to final delivery.Key Responsibilities* Manage end-to-end import and foreign procurement processes.* Source and evaluate international suppliers and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.* Prepare and follow up on purchase orders with overseas vendors.* Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs clearance agents.* Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery of goods.* Review and maintain import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents.* Track inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment plans.* Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies.* Analyze supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.* Prepare regular reports related to procurement, logistics, and supply chain activities.* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.Requirements* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.* 2–5 years of experience in imports, foreign procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations.* Strong knowledge of international purchasing and import procedures.* Familiarity with shipping, customs clearance, and freight documentation.* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is preferred.* Good command of English (written and spoken).Preferred Skills* Supplier management and vendor negotiations.* Logistics coordination and shipment tracking.* Cost analysis and reporting.* Time management and attention to detail.
