The Sustainability Architect/Engineer is responsible for leading and managing the integration of sustainability certifications across design and construction projects. The role ensures projects meet the highest environmental standards under frameworks including LEED, WELL, Mostadam, Estidama, and UAE Green Building Codes.ResponsibilitiesLead and support multidisciplinary design teams to meet LEED credit requirements across all project phases.Coordinate directly with site teams, reviewing materials, submittals, and method statements for LEED compliance.Manage LEED Online documentation workflows, including submittal forms and supporting documentation templates.Interpret code requirements and translate them into clear technical action items for design and construction teams.Address complex sustainability queries independently, drawing on hands-on project experience.Technical & Design Integration:Apply knowledge of certification requirements with local code regulations, including Dubai Green Building Regulations, Al Sa'fat, RAKM Barjeel, and Estidama PQP / Pearl Rating System.Support architecture and MEP teams in resolving design issues with sustainability implications.Conduct or coordinate embodied carbon and lifecycle analyses using tools such as OneClick LCA.Contribute to energy modelling exercises where required (IES-VE, DesignBuilder, Sefaira).Contribute to energy modelling exercises where required (IES-VE, DesignBuilder, Sefaira).Take ownership of deliverables from the design stage through construction, documentation, and final certification submission.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage). 4 - 6 years of experience.LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C required).Demonstrated experience managing and delivering LEED projects, from design stage through construction, documentation, and certification submission.Prior involvement in large-scale or campus-level projects is required.Proficient in English, both written and spoken.Proficient in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of SketchUp and Revit (preferred).Proficient in OneClick LCA or similar embodied carbon / lifecycle analysis tools (preferred, not mandatory).Familiarity with energy-modelling software (e.g., IES-VE, Design Builder, Sefaira) is preferred but not mandatory.Familiar with LEED Online documentation workflows, submittal forms, and supporting documentation templates.Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of workstreams.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent project timelines.Positive, solutions-oriented mindset, not just identifying issues, but driving architecture or MEP design resolutions.
