Job PurposeThe Technical Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of technical drawings for residential projects while leading and supervising a team of Technical Architects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject PreparationReview and understand client requirements and clarify any technical uncertainties.Analyze schematic designs, 3D drawings, renders, and project requirements.Develop project plans for the technical design phase, including timelines, activities, and deliverables.Establish standards and systems for technical drawings and detailing.Review as-built drawings and coordinate updates to ensure technical documentation reflects site conditions.Technical Design & CoordinationLead the development of detailed technical drawings and working drawings for residential projects.Review and approve technical drawings prepared by the technical team before submission.Coordinate with designers regarding any modifications required to align with technical standards.Attend site visits and technical meetings with contractors and consultants when needed.Review material alternatives and provide recommendations to maintain design intent while addressing project constraints.Coordinate with MEP consultants and design teams to ensure proper integration of lighting and technical requirements.Supervise the preparation of furniture technical drawings during the furnishing phase.Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technical standards.Team LeadershipAllocate projects and tasks among team members based on workload and expertise.Supervise progress and review deliverables to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines.Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to team members.Identify training needs and contribute to team development plans.Train and evaluate new hires during their probation period.Conduct performance reviews and support career development initiatives.Foster effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.Experience6–10 years of relevant experience in technical design, architecture, or interior design.Previous experience leading or supervising a technical design team is preferred.Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drafting.Experience with design and presentation software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Excel.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong understanding of technical detailing, construction drawings, and residential project execution.LanguageExcellent command of English.Work ConditionsLocation: CairoWorking Days: Sunday to ThursdayDays Off: Friday and SaturdayKey Success IndicatorsHigh customer satisfaction and project quality.Timely delivery of project milestones and technical drawings.Strong team performance and development.Effective coordination with design, site, and engineering teams.
