Team members work on solutions that directly impact network performance and service quality for millions of end users.Role Description This is a full-time Telecommunications Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Telecommunications Engineer will design, implement, and maintain telecommunications systems and network architectures that support AFRO Group’s regional operations. Daily tasks include configuring and optimizing network components, monitoring performance, and resolving technical issues to ensure high availability and service quality. The role involves providing technical support to internal teams and customers, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, and documenting system configurations and changes. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, power management integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for telecom and network environments.Hands-on experience with telecommunications systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.Proficiency in network design, including routing, switching, and capacity planning.Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and protocols, and experience integrating VoIP into existing networks.Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for telecom infrastructure and power management.Ability to analyze technical problems, interpret data, and propose practical solutions.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multicultural teams.Willingness to work in a hybrid model in Cairo, with occasional travel within the region as needed.Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or telecom-specific credentials) are an advantage.
