Underwriting Operations AnalystWhat You’ll DoOur Underwriting Operations team is growing! We currently have opportunities for two (2) Underwriting Operations Analysts based out of our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Manager, Underwriting Systems and Operations , this role ensures the accurate integration of underwriting rules and processes into systems. More specifically:Lead assigned projects to implementationLead testing and validation of complex underwriting rules, product updates, and pricing changesDrive process improvement initiatives and system efficienciesProvide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior analystsServe as subject matter expert for underwriting systems and business logicLiaise between business and technical teams to resolve issues across multiple platforms: Guidewire centers, Broker Management systems (including EDI, edoc), third party quoting tools (Applied, Acturis, etc…)Develop and deliver content for training materials related to underwriting systems, using a variety of training methodsCollaborate with leadership on strategy, reporting, and implementation planningParticipate in preparation and completion of regulatory reporting as requiredPerform other duties as requiredWhat You’ll BringRelevant post secondary educationCIP or FCIP completedMinimum 7 years related experience in an underwriting roleCommercial property experience is preferredGuidewire experience is an assetStrong understanding of underwriting principles, products, and pricingExperience with business systems, process documentation, and testingDevelopment and delivery of training materialsWhat You’ll ExperienceCompetitive base pay with annual bonus eligibilityHealthy work-life balance including a day off every 4 weeksMatching contributions to your Registered Pension PlanPersonal insurance reimbursementSocial events held throughout the yearCelebration of your team’s achievements each year with an annual staff appreciate eventA career in a stable and essential industry, at a company with an exceptional corporate culture and opportunities for professional development and advancementWhy Peace HillsPeace Hills General Insurance Company has been serving Western Canada since 1982 with home, auto and business insurance products.
