In this role, you will oversee veterinary operations, guide your team, and ensure the farm’s animal health standards are consistently met.About YouMain ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement treatment protocols for cows and calves, including comprehensive calving follow-up proceduresDesign and oversee vaccination programs for both cows and calves to maintain optimal herd healthSelect appropriate sires to ensure desirable replacement traits and support genetic improvement goalsEstablish, monitor, and enforce all biosecurity measures to protect herd health and farm operationsEnhance the technical expertise and capabilities of the veterinary team through continuous developmentProvide training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to veterinary staff and colleagues as neededMonitor and manage veterinary medicine inventory to ensure proper stock levels and usage planningPerform major surgical procedures when required to support animal health and welfareUtilize ultrasound technology for early pregnancy diagnosis and to diagnose health issues in cowsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Veterinary MedicineProven experience in herd health management and farm veterinary operationsStrong leadership skills with the ability to develop, mentor, and motivate a teamProficient user of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) About usDanone’s mission is bringing health through food to as many people as possible and we want to invite people to join the movement for a healthier world.
