In this role, you will oversee daily welding activities, ensure quality standards are met, and foster a safe, productive work environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical welding expertise with proven leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence and team performance.Supervise and manage a team of welders, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunitiesEnsure all welding work meets quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and testingMaintain strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety policiesPlan and schedule welding projects to optimize productivity and meet production deadlinesConduct equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs to minimize downtimeTrain team members on welding techniques, safety procedures, and new equipment operationAnalyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gainsDocument work progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare performance reportsTroubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions promptlyCommunicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless project coordinationQualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on welding experience with proficiency in multiple welding processesMinimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong knowledge of welding standards, quality assurance practices, and safety regulationsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specificationsExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksDemonstrated ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team membersProficiency in using welding equipment and related toolsValid welding certification (AWS or equivalent)Current First Aid and CPR certificationPreferred: Experience with scheduling software and budget managementPreferred: Knowledge of metallurgy and material propertiesPreferred: Experience implementing process improvement initiativesAdditional InformationYour team and working environment:In 1-2 sentences, introduce the team, property or office environment in a way that reflects the cultureNote: Customization may be included for any specific local or legislative requirements, such as work permitsOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
