Job Summary:The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the company’s accountingoperations, financial reporting, month-end closing activities, and internal controlenvironment. The role requires a hands-on leader capable of operating in fast-paced and evolving business, controls, and reporting frameworks.The ideal candidate must have experience working with startups, high-growthcompanies, or transformation environments were building processes, improvingcontrols, resolving operational challenges, and driving finance transformationare essential to success,Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.- Support management reporting and business performance analysis.- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.General Ledger & Control- Oversee general ledger activities and accounts reconciliations.- Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.- Review balance sheet reconciliations.- Maintain accounting policies and chart of accounts integrity.Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable- Supervise AP and AR function.- Review aging and support collection and payment processes.- Ensure supplier balances and payments are properly managed.- Ensure proper accounting treatment of all transactions.Branches & Warehouse Accounting- Supervise branch and warehouse accounting activities- Ensure proper controls over cash, inventory and operational transactions.Internal Controls & Compliance- Strengthen internal controls framework across finance operations.- Coordinate external audit activities.- Support tax filings and statutory reporting.- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.ERP & Process Improvement- Support ERP implementations and enhancements.- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.- Drive automation and process optimization initiatives.Finance Transformation & Process Improvement- Assess existing finance and accounting processes and identify control gapsand inefficiencies.- Design and implement scalable accounting processes and controls.- Drive process improvement initiatives across accounting operations.- Standardize finance processes across branches, warehouses, and businessunits.- Develop sustainable reporting and reconciliation frameworks as thebusiness scales.Team Management- Manage and develop accounting team members.- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions. Essential Skills & ExperienceMinimum 3 years in supervisory or managerial role.- Previous experience within startups, scale-ups, high-growth companies, orbusiness transformation environments is highly preferred.- Experience in retails, distribution, e-commerce, automotive, or FMCGsectors.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.- CPA, ACCA, CMA, DipIFR or equivalent qualification is preferred.Technical Skills- IFRS- Financial Reporting- Consolidation- Internal controls- Audit Management- Advanced Excel- ERP Systems
