Job DescriptionThe Cost Control Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that budgetary projections are met and that project costs are controlled throughout the life-cycle. This includes developing cost forecasts, performing variance analysis, and collaborating with project managers to optimize resources while maintaining project specifications and timelines.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain project cost budgets, and forecasts according to project requirements.Monitor and analyze project costs and performance, identifying and reporting on variances.Collaborate with project managers to develop cost-effective strategies and ensure adherence to budget constraints.Conduct regular financial reviews and audits of project costs, and implement corrective measures as needed.Support change management processes with accurate cost impact assessments.Utilize project management software to track budgets, and expenditures.Provide input into the development of cost control policies and procedures.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering.Proven experience (3+ years) in cost control within the construction industry.Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data.Proficiency in cost management software and database applications such as Primavera, SAP, or similar tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and financial regulations.
