JOB DETAILSJob Title: Cost Control Team LeaderSector/Business Line: Elsewedy Electric T&D.Scope: Transmission & Distribution.Department: Project ControlsReporting Line: Cost Control ManagerKey Responsibilities:Lead budget preparation and cost baseline validation aligned with financial targetsMonitor actual vs budget costs and analyze variancesImplement corrective actions to control cost deviationsPrepare weekly/monthly reports, dashboards, and forecastsProvide insights on cost performance, risks, and opportunitiesDevelop and maintain cash flow and cost forecastsManage and develop the cost control team, ensuring timely deliverablesCoordinate with project, finance, procurement, and planning teamsSupport contract management and change control processesImprove cost control systems, tools, and reporting efficiencyEnsure data accuracy, compliance, and process consistencyTechnical Competence:Budgeting & forecastingCost variance analysisEarned Value Management (EVM)Cash flow analysisAdvanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, dashboards)ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.)Project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project)BI tools (Power BI is a strong advantage)Team leadership and coachingStrong communication and presentation skillsStakeholder managementQualification & Education:7-10 years of experience in cost control, project controls within industries such as construction, oil & gas, engineering, or Electrical EPC projects.At least 2–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing cost control teamsProven experience in:Budget preparation and cost forecastingCost monitoring, variance analysis, and reportingProject cost management across the full project lifecycle (planning → closeout)Experience working on large-scale projects or portfolios (preferably EPC or infrastructure projects)Strong exposure to ERP systems (Oracle, etc.) and project controls tools
