Data Owner – Sales & Commercial DomainAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Data Owner – Sales & Commercial Domain to play a strategic role in driving our transformation into a data-driven organization. This is a business-facing position responsible for ensuring that commercial data is trusted, governed, and fit for decision-making across more than 38 global markets.As the Data Owner, you will define the standards, quality expectations, ownership model, and business rules that govern commercial data across the organization. You will work closely with regional and local business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to establish consistent governance practices while supporting local market needs.This role sits within the Federated Governance Council and collaborates closely with the Data Product Hub Center of Excellence, commercial leadership teams, and data management stakeholders globally.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain data standards, business definitions, and quality rules for the Sales & Commercial data domain.Act as the primary business authority for commercial data governance, including data ownership, access policies, quality thresholds, and usage guidelines.Drive global alignment of commercial data definitions, KPIs, and business rules across regions and markets.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), commercial leaders, and business teams to understand how commercial data is created, managed, and consumed.Partner with Global, Regional, and Local Data Stewards to ensure governance standards are adopted and consistently applied.Apply enterprise governance frameworks while balancing global consistency with regional and local business requirements.Work closely with Technical Domain Leads and IT teams to ensure data products accurately reflect business needs and governance requirements.Represent the Sales & Commercial domain within the Federated Governance Council and contribute to enterprise-wide data governance decisions.Oversee data quality monitoring, issue management, and resolution processes across the domain.Lead onboarding, guidance, and continuous development of Regional Data Owners and Country Data Stewards.Support Data Readiness Assessment (DRA) initiatives by measuring and improving commercial data maturity.Champion data governance best practices and support the broader data transformation agenda across the commercial organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, Data Management, Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, Sales Operations, or a related field.5–8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Business Analytics, Revenue Operations, or a related business function within a large multinational organization.Strong understanding of commercial and sales data, including:Sales pipeline managementRevenue attributionPricing and promotionsMarket share analysisCommercial KPIs and performance metricsProven experience defining business standards, processes, and governance practices across multiple regions, markets, or business units.Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms as a business user, process owner, or domain expert.Strong understanding of how commercial data flows across CRM and business systems.Experience driving stakeholder alignment across global, regional, and local teams.Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.English proficiency at B2–C1 level with the ability to lead workshops, discussions, and presentations in an international environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Preferred QualificationsExperience with data governance frameworks, federated governance models, or data mesh concepts.Familiarity with data catalog and data governance platforms such as Alation or Collibra.Experience using BI and analytics tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Looker.Knowledge of data quality management principles and practices.Experience within Agriculture, Crop Protection, FMCG, Consumer Goods, or related industries.Key CompetenciesData GovernanceCommercial Data ManagementSales OperationsCRM Data Management (Salesforce)Stakeholder ManagementData Quality ManagementBusiness Process GovernanceCross-Functional CollaborationStrategic ThinkingChange ManagementCommunication & FacilitationWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity to shape how commercial data is governed and utilized across a truly global organization.
