Position OverviewWe are seeking a Data Governance Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Purview to establish and maintain data governance frameworks for our telecom and fintech data assets. You will ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance while enabling effective data management for customer data, network data, and financial transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement Microsoft Purview for cataloging telecom data (subscriber data, network logs, CDR) and fintech data (customer profiles, transactions, payment data)Define and enforce data governance policies for sensitive customer and financial informationConfigure data classification and sensitivity labels for PII, payment card data, and confidential business dataEstablish data quality rules for billing accuracy, transaction integrity, and customer data completenessCreate business glossaries for telecom terms (ARPU, MOU, churn) and fintech metrics (APR, default rate, wallet balance)Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and financial services requirements (PCI-DSS, KYC, AML, data privacy laws)Conduct data lineage tracking for regulatory reporting and audit requirementsCollaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams on data governance initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related rolesHands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (formerly Azure Purview)Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DGI Framework)Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirementsExperience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineageStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent English communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with telecom or fintech data governanceKnowledge of PCI-DSS, KYC/AML regulations, and telecom data privacy requirementsCertifications in data governance (CDMP, DGSP) or Microsoft AzureExperience with master data management for customer data
