This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional ready to own the numbers and build scalable processes from the ground up.Role DescriptionWe're looking for a Finance Manager to join our client's team. If you're a detail-oriented, self-sufficient accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to take full ownership of finance operations in a scaling e-commerce business, this could be the opportunity for you. You'll lead month-end close, manage multi-channel reconciliations across Shopify and Amazon, and drive process improvements as the company grows. This position offers significant personal and professional growth within a dynamic, founder-led environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close – Lead the full close process, ensuring all postings, accruals, and reconciliations are accurate and timely.Bank & Treasury Management – Maintain and reconcile all bank accounts, corporate cards, and treasury balances daily.E-commerce Reconciliation – Record and reconcile revenues, payments, fees, and adjustments across Shopify, Amazon, and other sales channels.Inventory Accounting – Manage all inventory postings and reconciliations, ensuring COGS and stock balances are accurate at month end.Accounts Payable – Own AP processes, manage weekly payment runs, and maintain clean vendor correspondence.AR & Ageing Management – Keep AP and AR ageing clean, applying payments and credits accurately.Process Improvement – Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to drive efficiency and scalability.Minimum QualificationsAccounting Qualification – Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACA/ACCA preferred.Progressive Experience – 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in consumer, retail, or e-commerce with strong inventory exposure.Bookkeeping Expertise – Proven experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, including messy book clean-up and process establishment.ERP & Systems – Advanced skills in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar accounting/ERP systems.Independent Operator – Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, ask the right questions, and onboard quickly with minimal supervision.Multi-Platform Reconciliation – Experience reconciling complex accounts across multiple platforms and high transaction volumes.Strong Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to partner effectively with founders and external stakeholders.Bonus QualificationsE-commerce Channels – Experience with Shopify and/or Amazon reconciliation and reporting.Inventory Costing – Familiarity with FIFO, weighted average, or other inventory costing methods.US GAAP/IFRS – Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus.Company BenefitsTop-of-the-market pay.Remote working.Potential for flexible hours.Typically, we work with our own laptops, but if you need any extra gadgets to do your best work, we've got you covered.Becoming a part of Palm Outsourcing, where your performance is rewarded in long-term job security and continued growth opportunities.Thank you for taking the time to apply, we look forward to reviewing your application.
