Inventory Controller Sukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements.The Role AngloGold Ashanti’s Sukari operation seeks an Inventory Controller to maintain and control stock levels that meet end‑user consumption while safeguarding company investment. The role monitors inventory movement, analyses system‑driven replenishment, and ensures the right materials are available at the right time to sustain mining and processing.Location: Sukari Gold Mine, Egypt.Contract Type: Permanent, full-time.Schedule: 20/10 working roster.Compensation: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.The Key ResponsibilitiesStock level control: Maintain optimal stock levels to meet consumption requirements and prevent shutdowns.Cyclic review and replenishment: Run periodic stock reviews and replenishment cycles; calculate accurate lead times; apply ABC controls.Inventory monitoring and reporting: Prepare zero‑stock and delayed‑orders reports; highlight abnormal consumption; expedite late orders.Analysis and system checks: Review system‑recommended orders and related reports to validate logic; filter allocations and outstanding items.Stakeholder engagement: Consult end users on annual usage and fluctuations; obtain approvals for high‑value and capital items.Forward planning: Develop and update forward plans for A‑category items, reagents and explosives; monitor departmental trials and impacts.Team leadership and data integrity: Direct and develop warehouse/catalogue staff; ensure timely EOM and daily critical reporting and accurate data.The RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration or any related field.Approximately 6 years’ warehousing experience, including 4 years in a similar role.British English Level 8/10; strong written and oral English communication skills.Proficient in MS Office; very good user of inventory/warehouse systems.Excellent analytical, organisational, administrative and communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to meet deadlines and objectives efficiently.Ability to ensure inventory and system data security and provide high service levels to end users.
