Maintenance PlannerSukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements. The Role The Maintenance Planner schedules, prepares, and coordinates preventive, corrective, and planned component change-out activities for the mobile equipment fleet at Sukari to maximise availability and reliability while minimising downtime and total maintenance cost.The role builds and controls weekly plans, prepares SAP PM work orders and job packages, aligns materials and services, analyses maintenance data and KPIs, and drives disciplined execution in close collaboration with supervisors, operations, reliability, supply chain, and HSE. Location: Sukari Gold Mine EgyptSchedule: Day shift aligned to planning cycles; additional hours may be required during shutdowns, urgent breakdowns, or peak periods with approval. The Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance scheduling: Review fleet status and constraints; build weekly PM and ready-to-execute corrective schedules; adjust to unplanned events while protecting critical commitments.Work order preparation: Create and validate SAP PM work orders, job plans, task lists, and packages with clear scope, durations, labour, tools, and technical instructions.Materials and services coordination: Identify and reserve parts; support procurement with accurate specifications; coordinate component change-outs and rebuild readiness.Data analysis and reporting: Monitor backlog, PM compliance, and schedule adherence; analyse history and failures; prepare maintenance forecasts and shutdown plans.Stakeholder coordination: Facilitate planning meetings; liaise with workshop, operations, reliability, warehouse, procurement, and finance; escalate schedule risks with options.HSE and CMMS governance: Embed safety controls, permits, and isolations in plans; maintain master data and BOMs; ensure audit-ready, traceable documentation.Continuous improvement: Apply planning standards and quality checks; identify system and process enhancements to improve readiness, productivity, and cost control. The Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience (mobile equipment preferred) with exposure to planning/scheduling and CMMS work management.Proficient in SAP PM and CMMS; accurate work order preparation and master data/BOM governance.Knowledge of planning methods, spare parts and inventory principles, and reliability KPIs (availability, utilisation, MTBF/MTTR/MTBS).Advanced Excel and intermediate Power BI for KPI analysis and reporting.Strong communication, coordination, and time management; committed to disciplined work management and compliance.Professional proficiency in Arabic and English.Willing to conduct site/workshop visits and respond to urgent planning needs.
