Overview of the role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career professional looking to build a solid foundation in corporate accounting within a structured environment. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accurate recording of supplier transactions in line with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable OperationsProcess supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and approvalsMatch invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes (3-way matching)Record AP transactions in the accounting system in accordance with IFRSPrepare and maintain vendor account reconciliationsSupport the preparation of weekly and monthly payment runsCoordinate with banks and treasury for payment execution when requiredFinancial & Accounting SupportAssist in month-end closing activities related to Accounts PayableSupport accruals and provisions for expenses in line with IFRS requirementsEnsure correct expense classification and cost center allocationMaintain accurate and organized AP records for audit and internal control purposesCompliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and approval matricesSupport internal and external audits by providing AP schedules and supporting documentsAssist in ensuring compliance with Egyptian tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax (as applicable)SkillsWhat equips you for the role:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce0 –1 years of experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)Basic understanding of IFRS and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with accounting or ERP systems is a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)Good command of English language (written and spoken)
