DescriptionJob Purpose:Ensure a smooth workflow for different and sophisticated types of transactions across different units under his/her supervision in compliance with the set policies and procedures and according to the CBE regulations and international standard.Job Description:Trade Finance Unit Management1.Manage transactions monitoring (LC’s/LG’s/IDC’s/ODCs) to ensure accurate implementation within the set time frame and maintain efficient business relationship with concerned Business Heads.2.Lead and monitor complex and critical transactions to ensure effective processing and quality delivery of results.3.Assist in submitting the BRDs for system enhancements to ensure that the majority of tasks are performed on automated basis.4.Ensure segregation of duties are in place to mitigate any raised comments from the Audit/ICM/CBE.5.Provide advice when it comes to sophisticated transaction and ensure that his accumulated experience is conveyed to others to handle the complicated transactions effectively.6.Ensure that all relevant KPIs are in place to ensure proper performance.7. Ensure all Trade Finance units are maintaining the updated RCSAs (Risk Control Self-Assessment) to mitigate any potential risk.8.Work closely with the corporate department to ensure high service quality.Strategy9.Participate in the formulation and implementation of the Trade Finance Department strategy to ensure the alignment with CIB strategy.Policies, Processes and Procedures10.Participate and recommends improvements to policies, processes and procedures and manages their implementation to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.Day-to-day Management11.Manage the day-to-day operations of the division, providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.12.Liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of interactions.People management13.Manage the effective achievement of Trade Finance objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.Compliance14.Ensure compliance with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSQualifications & Experience·Bachelor's degree of Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or its Equivalent.·CDCS/CSDG or equivalent is a must.·Accredited MBA or equivalent is preferable.·Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience in Banking Operations including Trade Finance in a leading organization.·Deep working knowledge of all aspects of Risk, Credit, Legal, Regulatory and Trade Finance Products.Skills·Excellent command of English and Arabic Languages.·Good leadership and managerial skills.·Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.·Professional user of MS Office.·Mastery of digital trade platforms.
