Join us at Mondi, where we strive to make a positive impact through responsible business practices and continuous innovation in packaging and paper solutions.About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for the management and results of two Mondi Paper Bags converting plants in Cairo with around 150 employees, particularly in the areas of People Management, Sales and Customer Relationship Management, Production, Logistics and Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Quality Control and Product Development, Continuous Improvement, and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment). You will report to the Regional Managing Director Middle East and work closely with the other Managing Directors in the Paper Bags Middle East region.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop a vision with the local leadership team and provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve company objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving future growth and optimization possibilities of the plant and its assets.Profit & Loss Management: Assume full responsibility for all profit & loss drivers and the investment roadmap of a growing, mid-sized manufacturing plant, with a focus on cost control and profitability.Operations Oversight: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including safety, efficiency, productivity, continuous improvement, environment, and quality assurance.People Management & Development: Build and lead an experienced plant leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee engagement while ensuring diversity and inclusion.Customer & Product Portfolio Development: Develop and manage the plant's product portfolio, focusing on profitable growth and sustainability targets, while ensuring alignment with customer expectations.Sales Performance: Manage and oversee the sales performance of the sales team and interact with internal key accounts.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders within the organization (Mondi Group) and external partners such as business partners, shareholders and local authorities. Ability to work in a global organization with different functions and mindsets.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.More than 8 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the packaging industry, with a proven track record of success.Agile and curious mindset.Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive operational excellence and innovation.Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on creating a motivating and collaborative work environment.Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, production processes, and quality standards within a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience in managing profit & loss responsibilities, driving sales excellence, and customer satisfaction.Effective and transparent communication and relationship-building skills, with fluency in Arabic and English.Results-focused and hands-on personality, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving business environments and people.Get in touchWe strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
