Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, analyze schedule performance, identify potential risks, and recommend data-driven solutions to keep projects on track. This is an excellent opportunity for a goal-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving project success through strategic planning and transparent communication.Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectivesMonitor project progress and analyze critical path activities to identify schedule variances and potential delaysPrepare comprehensive progress reports, look-ahead plans, schedule updates, and performance metrics for stakeholder reviewConduct schedule risk analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate project delaysCoordinate planning activities with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration and resource optimizationReview and evaluate contractor schedules for compliance with project requirements and contractual obligationsSupport project controls activities by tracking key performance indicators and providing data-driven insights for decision-makingParticipate in feasibility studies and master planning initiatives to support strategic project developmentMaintain project documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standardsQualifications**Education:**Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field**Experience:**Minimum 7 years of professional experience in planning engineering or project controlsDemonstrated expertise in master planning, strategic planning, and feasibility studiesProven experience in schedule development, progress measurement, and project controls on complex projectsExperience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines**Technical Skills & Tools:**Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS ProjectStrong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques and best practicesProficiency in schedule risk analysis and mitigation strategiesSolid understanding of project management principles, resource allocation, and budget managementExperience with technical report writing and data analysis**Soft Skills:**Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate complex scenarios and recommend solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to create clear, compelling presentations for diverse audiencesExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyCollaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and transparencyResilient and adaptable professional who thrives in fast-paced environments**Domain Expertise:**Knowledge of construction and engineering project lifecyclesUnderstanding of regulatory compliance requirements and risk assessment methodologiesFamiliarity with project controls frameworks and best practicesKnowledge of resource planning and capacity management**Preferred Qualifications:**Professional certification in project management (PMP, DASSM, or equivalent)Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectorsFamiliarity with project management information systems (PMIS) and integrated project delivery models
