Company DescriptionNERIC (National Egyptian Railway Industries Company) is a private joint-venture company formed by a group of Egyptian companies in partnership with Governmental entities. The main objective is to establish a rolling stock plant in East Port Said Industrial, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The plant will be a major milestone in Egypt’s strategic industrialization plan, contributing to the rolling stock sector goals set forth in Vision 2030. NERIC aims to develop the local rolling stock manufacturing value chain with support from international OEMs.Job SummaryThe Planning Section Head oversees all production planning and scheduling activities to ensure efficient use of resources and on-time delivery of rolling stock projects. This role coordinates with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to align capacity, materials, and project priorities while driving process improvements and team performance.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead the planning team to develop and maintain detailed production and material schedules.Align production plans with project timelines, resource capacity, and material availability.Review BOMs, demand forecasts, and engineering data to set accurate production priorities.Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to prevent material shortages or delays.Monitor production progress and initiate corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.Oversee integration of new products and engineering changes into existing plans.Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) for production control and reporting.Track and report KPIs such as on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and schedule compliance.Implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards (e.g., EN 15085, IRIS).Guide, train, and evaluate planning staff to improve departmental performance. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably Engineering degree.Experience: 7–10 years in production planning, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within the rolling stock or automotive industry.Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and ERP/MRP systems.Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, MS Project).Preferred Certifications APICS CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949, EN 15085, and IRIS standards.Prefer to be located in Port Said
