BirdNest is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of materials, products, and services required across our projects. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working within the furniture, interior design, fit-out, or furniture manufacturing industry, giving them a strong understanding of furniture materials, production processes, suppliers, and market dynamics.Key Responsibilities:Source, evaluate, and negotiate with furniture suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to secure the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.Manage the procurement process from inquiry and quotation requests to purchase orders and delivery follow-up.Build and maintain a reliable supplier database, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality standards.Review project requirements and specifications to identify suitable furniture products and suppliers.Coordinate closely with the design, FF&E, and project management teams to ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and budgets.Monitor production schedules and delivery timelines to ensure on-time project execution.Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials, products, and cost-saving opportunities.Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.Verify furniture specifications, materials, finishes, and quality standards before order placement.Resolve procurement-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and supplier disputes.Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and budget tracking updates. 3–5+ years of procurement experience within the furniture, interior design, fit-out, or manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of furniture materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and market suppliers.Established network of furniture suppliers, manufacturers, and workshops is highly preferred.Proven experience in supplier negotiations and cost optimization.Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement tracking tools.Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred SkillsExperience procuring custom-made and bespoke furniture.Understanding of furniture shop drawings, specifications, and production requirements.Knowledge of local and international furniture suppliers and manufacturers.Ability to assess product quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
