The Profitability Analyst is responsible for enhancing financial performance across business units through accurate cost allocation, comprehensive gross profit analysis, and insightful variance reporting. The role partners closely with Group Finance, Business Units, and the CoE Pricing team to deliver data-driven insights that support effective cost management, optimize pricing strategies, and drive sustainable margin improvement.ResponsibilitiesCost Allocation & Financial CoordinationCollaborate with Group Finance and Business Units to ensure accurate and timely cost allocation in accordance with approved methodologies.Monitor Cost of Sales allocations across UTF and Business Units, ensuring consistency, transparency, and data integrity.Validate allocation timelines and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.Gross Profit & Pricing AnalysisPerform comprehensive analysis of Gross Profit (GP) performance across Business Units, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.Partner with the CoE Pricing team and Group Finance to validate pricing assumptions and key margin drivers.Support pricing reviews by providing robust profitability insights and data-driven recommendations.Variance Analysis & ReportingPrepare and present periodic analysis of profitability and cost variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.Conduct root cause analysis and communicate clear, actionable insights to Finance and Business stakeholders.Develop and maintain accurate, timely profitability reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.Profitability Improvement & Cost OptimizationIdentify and recommend initiatives to enhance profitability and improve costing efficiency based on data-driven analysis.Support strategic decision-making through scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to assess financial impact.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, profitability analysis, or business controlling.Solid understanding of cost allocation methodologies, margin analysis, and financial performance management.Experience working within Group Finance structures and across multiple Business Units is an advantage.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate meaningful insightsHigh level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial informationEffective stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills across finance and business teamsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with strong data handling capabilitiesAbility to translate financial analysis into clear, actionable business insights to support decision-making
