Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly experienced SAP PS Consultant to join our ERP Applications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Project System (PS) module, enabling effective project planning, execution, monitoring, and cost control across capital projects, investment programs, and service delivery initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in project structures, resource and cost planning, billing, and cross-module integration with FI/CO, MM, PP, PM, and SD, along with the ability to work closely with project managers, finance controllers, and procurement teams to deliver end-to-end project management solutions within SAP.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Structure & Master Data (PS-ST)Design and schedulingProject Cost Planning & Budgeting (PS-CO)Configure detailed cost planning at the WBS and network activity level using unit costing, easy cost planning, and hierarchical planningSet up reporting, earned value management (EVM), and cost-at-completion forecastingProject Procurement & Material Management (PS-MM)Configure network activity-based material components and automatic PR/PO generation from project networksSet up project stock management, project-specific procurement, and MRP integration for a project-driven supply chainManage reservations, goods issues, and goods receipts assigned to WBS elements and network activitiesConfigure external service activities with service entry sheets and milestone-based payment processingSupport project-based inventory valuation and settlement of material costs to WBS elementsProject Billing & Revenue Recognition (PS-SD)Configure project billing using resource-related billing (RRB), milestone billing, and fixed-price billing methodsSet up billing plans, billing rules, and dynamic items for customer project invoicing linked to SD sales ordersManage revenue recognition methods: completed contract, percentage of completion (POC), and cost-based recognitionConfigure results analysis (RA) keys, RA methods, and valuation methods for project revenue and WIP calculationSet up intercompany billing and cross-company project cost allocation for group-level project reportingProject Execution & Progress TrackingConfigure confirmation of network activities, progress measurement methods, and physical percent complete trackingSet up progress analysis profiles, measurement methods (milestones, proportional, secondary proportional), and forecastingManage project status management: system statuses (CRTD, REL, TECO, CLSD) and user-defined statuses with authorization controlsConfigure claim management for project scope changes, variations, and contractual claims processingSupport project version management for baseline comparisons and what-if scenario planningPeriod-End Closing & Settlement (PS-CO/FI)Execute and configure periodic project processing: overhead calculation, interest calculation, and results analysisSet up project settlement rules, allocation structures, and settlement profiles for cost distribution to cost centers, assets, G/L accounts, and ordersManage WIP (Work-In-Progress) calculation, capitalization, and reversal for projects under constructionConfigure investment measure settlement for asset under construction (AuC) and final asset capitalization in FI-AASupport year-end carry-forward of project budgets, commitments, and open purchase ordersInvestment Programs & Portfolio Management (IM/PS)Configure investment programs, program positions, and approval year management for capital budgetingSet up top-down budget distribution from investment program positions to WBS elementsManage appropriation requests (AR) for project approval workflows and budget authorization processesConfigure Investment Management (IM) reports for portfolio-level budget monitoring and variance analysisSupport SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) integration for project pipeline and resource capacity planningImplementation & Project DeliveryLead or participate in full-cycle SAP PS implementations: blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare supportPrepare detailed functional specifications for ABAP developments, BAdIs, user exits, and RICEF objectsExecute unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) with project management teamsDevelop and deliver end-user training programs for project managers, controllers, and procurement teamsSupport, Operations & IntegrationProvide SAP PS production support and resolve incidents within agreed SLA timelinesManage month-end and year-end project closing: overhead runs, RA runs, settlement, WIP posting, and AuC capitalizationOversee cross-module integration: PS-FI/CO (cost postings, asset accounting), PS-MM (procurement), PS-SD (billing), PS-PM (maintenance projects), PS-HR (workforce planning), and PS-PP (production orders)Coordinate with the BASIS team for system transports, SAP upgrades, and S/4HANA migration planningSecurity & Authorizations LeadServe as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP roles and authorizations.
