Vacancy NoVN14665Job TitleSenior Accountant - KSA ( Based in Egypt)Office LocationEG-CairoAlternative Office LocationEG-CairoAbout the RoleAbout the role:Responsible for comprehensive financial analysis and technical accounting oversight for KSA.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Analysis of country P&L and margin analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis of regional P&L, focusing on Adjusted EBITDA and gross margin optimization. Identify and report on technical drivers of variance (MTD, QTD, YTD). - P&L Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the technical preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Ensure alignment between operational targets and financial reality across multiple KSA entities. - Balance Sheet Reviews/Reconciliations: Take full ownership of the General Ledger. Perform complex reconciliations, manage accruals/provisions, and resolve long-standing items (including aged GRIR balances) to ensure audit readiness. - Providing support and guidance to business: Act as a technical financial partner to the MENA leadership team, providing data-driven insights to support commercial decision-making and risk mitigation. - Providing and interpreting financial information: Translate complex financial data into actionable management reports. Ensure all information adheres to IFRS and local MAT GAAP standards. - Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends: Execute technical cash flow modelling and liquidity forecasting. Monitor working capital cycles and treasury requirements for KSA. - Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out: Serve as the primary technical lead for external and internal audits. Manage the preparation of audit files, tax packs, and the finalization of statutory financial statements. - Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines: Manage the end-to-end month-end close process. Ensure "Flash Reporting" and Group submissions are completed with high technical accuracy and zero-latency. - Other tasks as they arise as per any new requirement: Execute special technical projects, including system enhancements, IFRS mapping updates, and strategic financial clean-ups. - Budget preparation for several entities: Coordinate consolidated budget frameworks for various legal entities, ensuring local statutory requirements are balanced with global group expectations. - Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws in KSA and executing required filings: Subject matter expert for region tax compliance. Manage the calculation and filing of CIT, VAT/TVA, and Withholding Tax via local electronic portals.- Prepare, review, and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns through the ZATCA portal, ensuring full compliance with KSA VAT regulations. - Manage WHT (Withholding Tax) calculations, filings, and reconciliations for foreign vendor transactions in accordance with KSA tax laws. - Prepare Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Zakat schedules, supporting accurate and timely submissions. - Ensure compliance with ZATCA e-invoicing (FATOORA) requirements, including invoice validation and system alignment. - Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities regarding tax assessments, audits, and clarifications. - Monitor changes in KSA tax legislation and assess financial/reporting impacts on the business. Perform VAT reconciliation between ERP records, financial statements, and tax filings. - Review cross-border transactions to ensure proper tax treatment and documentation. - Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction compliance where applicable. - Ensure proper retention and maintenance of tax documentation for statutory and audit purposes. - Lead tax-related month-end and year-end closing activities, including tax provisions and deferred tax calculations. - Identify tax risks and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal tax controls and compliance.Qualifications / RequirementsRequired Knowledge - Expert Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Financial modelling, Power Query, Nested Logic). - Solid financial understanding of IFRS and Local Statutory GAAP. - SAP experience is essential (Advanced T-Codes for reporting and data extraction). - Technical application of KSA Tax Laws. Experience Required - Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar technical financial or senior accounting position. - Extensive experience in Advanced Microsoft Excel and automated modelling. - Proven experience in executing tax filings and maintaining compliance in MAT jurisdictions.
