Senior Contracts Engineer

A Senior Contracts Engineer manages and oversees contracts for engineering and construction projects. The role involves reviewing contract terms, handling negotiations, managing claims and variations, ensuring compliance, and minimizing commercial risks. They work closely with project, procurement, and legal teams to support successful project execution and protect the company’s contractual interests.Job ResponsibilitiesPresent and explain contract terms and conditions to project stakeholders and internal departments to ensure proper project initiation and compliance.Review, monitor, and coordinate variation orders, quotations, and related contractual requirements with concerned departments.Review and manage notices of claim and delay events within contractual time bars to preserve entitlement for EOT and cost compensation.Identify contractual risks and opportunities during both pre- and post-award stages.Monitor project progress, cost updates, and reporting compliance in line with contract conditions.Assist in the preparation and submission of claims related to project delays, disruptions, and cost deviations.Prepare internal reports and compliance studies to ensure proper contractual execution and project fulfillment.Coordinate daily activities among contracts engineers to optimize resources and avoid rework.Manage contract amendments and negotiations with clients and stakeholders.Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on ongoing and future projects.Negotiate and manage subcontracts/service agreements while ensuring back-to-back contractual compliance.Prepare and present monthly project status reports covering progress, variations, and claims.Handle contractual close-out procedures including TOC issuance, retention release, performance bond release, and discharge agreements.Review tender documents, assess contractual risks, and prepare contractual qualifications during tendering stages.Participate in pre-award negotiations and prepare pre-bid agreements for major project scopes and stakeholders.Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering.Contractual & Legal Aspects in Construction (CLAC)Contract Administration (CAPM)Contract Management and Administration (CMAD)Project Management Professional (PMP)5+ years of experience in construction and preferably in contract administration related field.At Rowad Modern Engineering, we provide equal opportunities to all regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity. we do not just hire Talents-We invest in potential.
