Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Document ControlLocation: Construction SiteReports To: Project Manager / Site ManagerWorking Schedule: 26 working days / 7 days off, according to project requirements Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Management: Establish, implement, and maintain the project’s Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Manage all project documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and official correspondence.Process Control: Control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing, and retrieval of both electronic and hard-copy documents produced by technical teams, vendors, and the client.Distribution & Workflow: Manage the timely distribution of all project documents to relevant stakeholders, ensuring the project team is always working with the latest approved versions. Track document review cycles and approval statuses, following up on overdue responses.Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on all incoming and outgoing documents to ensure they meet project standards and formatting requirements.Reporting: Generate and circulate regular document status reports for project management, highlighting progress, delays, and potential issues.Archiving & Handover: Maintain a comprehensive and accurate project archive. Manage the final compilation and handover of all project documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, etc.) upon project completion.Coordination: Liaise with engineering, construction, and quality departments to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of information across all disciplines (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical).Qualifications & ExperienceExperience: A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a Document Controller on multi-disciplinary construction projects is essential.Project Exposure: Demonstrable experience handling documentation for civil works, structural steel, mechanical equipment installation (MEP), and electrical works is highly preferred.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills:Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.Personal Attributes:Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to work.Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.A proactive and collaborative team player.
